I am so full of memories of hanging out on the bayou with little boys, walks in your neighborhood, and the arrival of Mignon. As we left NOLA in the diaspora after Katrina, life had to move on and I am sorry to not have know Dina and Marlowe and kids in these last years. I am holding you all in my heart and imagining the lives you have been leading, supported by so many wonderful people, as seen here. Dina--I remember her voice so well. She had a different cadence and placement than most people. I remember her smile and her laugh, and, as my sister said, lots of good food on the table. And fierce mother love. The Derby gang is growing above and my tears are added to the river of sadness that Dina had to go so soon...
