Dianne Charlotte Wickes' Obituary
Dianne Charlotte Wickes passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. She was born in Kankakee, IL on October 14, 1952.
She is survived by her sister, Marcia Wickes (Teresa); nephews, Akira Wickes and Takashi Wickes; niece, Elizabeth Wickes; and many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Elizabeth Brown Wickes and Robert Harold Wickes; and two brothers, Bobby Wickes and Stephen Wickes who passed shortly after birth.
Dianne lived her life throughout Louisiana, California, and Florida. She worked for many years in the movie industry including for Disney Imagineering, 20th Century Fox, and Director’s Guild of America. She was a very talented artist. Many of her works can be found in restaurants and establishments throughout Key West, Florida, and on the music album covers of various bands and artists.
Dianne had a lifelong passion for plants and animals. She owned a plant store in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for several years and worked closely with local animal rescue services in the multiple places she lived. She was a talented gardener, jewelry maker, writer, overall artist, and a renaissance woman. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Dianne may be made to a local animal rescue service or animal shelter of your choice.
