Dianne Daussat Graiser's Obituary
Dianne Daussat Graiser passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023. She was born in Fair Hope, AL on June 11, 1944.
Dianne married her high school sweetheart on October 21, 1961 at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Metairie. She attended East Jefferson High School and volunteered her time at University Hospital. Dianne was a devoted homemaker, devout Catholic, and dedicated mother who raised her four beloved sons. As her family grew, Dianne and Buddy enjoyed attending their grandchildren’s sporting events and dance recitals. She was lovingly known as Mommee to her Grandchildren. Her top priority was always her family.
Dianne and Buddy relocated from Metairie in the late 1990’s, where they built their dream home in Madisonville. She loved planning family gatherings, holidays, and important family events. Dianne was a parishioner at St. Anselm Catholic Church and enjoyed being involved in the Madisonville Garden Club. Dianne was an amazing cook and will be remembered for family dinners, her infectious personality and contagious laugh.
She is survived by her children, Bernard “Duke” Graiser, Jr., Doug Graiser (Lori), David Graiser (Karen) and Chad Graiser (Lorie); her grandchildren, Abby (Ashe), Kati (Kyler), Kaylee, Olivia, Cole & Cade; great-grandchildren, Rowen, Vivienne and Reeve. She is also survived by her siblings, Juanita Pearson, Linda Broussard, Brenda (Wife of Arthur David Daussat), Richard Daussat (Patsy) and nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard P. “Buddy” Graiser, Sr.; her parents Eugenie Vandrell Daussat and Arthur Francis Daussat; and siblings, Arthur David Daussat; a granddaughter, Dani Angelle Graiser.
We will miss her terribly, but will celebrate her reunion with those who have gone before her to be with our Heavenly Father.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 306 St. Mary St., Madisonville, LA 70447 on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 2:00 PM with visitation at church on Thursday beginning at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow in Theodore Dendinger Cemetery.
