Dewey Douglas "Doug" Bowling Jr.'s Obituary
Dewey Douglas “Doug” Bowling, Jr., age 59, of Wichita Falls, Texas, and more recently of Covington, Louisiana, passed away suddenly on October 28, 2025, following recent health troubles. He was born on July 30, 1966, in Midland, Texas.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Julie Lyn Davis Bowling; children, Sadie Bowling, Judson Bowling, and Emily Bowling; siblings, David, Bill, and Becky; and many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Douglas Bowling, Sr. and Charlotte Ann Saunders Bowling.
Doug graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1984 and earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. He was a man of adventure, laughs, and loyalty. His career carried him all over the world, living in Indonesia, Kuwait, Angola, Africa, Newfoundland, Texas, and finally, Louisiana. He never met a stranger and embodied a legacy of kindness to others – lighting up any room with his wit and good nature. He was adored by his family, friends, and coworkers and is dearly missed.

A celebration of life event will be held from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2025, in the Club Room at the Forum Event Center, 2120 Speedway Avenue, Wichita Falls, Texas.
