Dewey Pierre DeKerlegand passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012.
Beloved husband of Dora Vidrine DeKerlegand for 56 years. Father of Glenn Michael DeKerlegand (Darlene), Denise DeKerlegand Avocato (Paul) and Suzanne DeKerlegand Jenkins (Alton). Grandfather of David (Shantaele) and Katie DeKerlegand, Matthew and Christine Avocato, Abbey Gaspard and Corey Jenkins. Brother of Mary Lalonde, Annie Madore, Jan Smith and Josue DeKerlegand.
Age 81 years. A native of Arnaudville, LA and a resident of Ponchatoula, LA for the past 12 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served four years active duty during the time of the Korean War.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at the Chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 11:00 AM.
Visitation on Friday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Saturday from 9:00 AM until service time.
Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
