Dear Margie and Family,
My deepest sympathies go out to you and Dennis' entire family. We'll all miss him greatly.
I'm sorry I couldn't be there. I missed out on a lot of good times being in Houston. I'll never forget all the good times...the King of Hercules passing right by our home (when Karen and I lived in UNO's married dorms), all the NYE Parties, like the one where Dennis got hit in the chest with the bottle rocket (war), or the one at your house in Chalmette with the potato gun, the 2-liter fireworks, and that roll of black cats that seemed to go the whole length of the neutral ground.
I could never forget what he endured (what I know of) when he went through his colon surgery and his heart attack/blockage that was 20 inches long (right?)! He was a walking miracle everyday after that!!!
Dennis has always been a positive and happy person, despite what he had been through in his life. If he ever had any negative feelings for what he had been through in his life, I never heard them. I'm not sure my faith is strong enough to endure what he has been through in his life. If he could go through all he had to endure in his life, and be the great guy he was, what do I have in my life that is worth complaining about. He was an inspiration to me.
My love to all Dennis' friends and family.
