Denise Morvant Perrot's Obituary
Denise “Nisey” Morvant Perrot passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 surrounded by her family in Covington, LA at the age of 66. She was born on February 19, 1951 in New Orleans, LA to the late Robert Joseph Morvant III and Ruth Mellor Morvant.
Known for her warm heart and bold humor, Nisey was remembered by everyone that met her. After graduating from Andrew Jackson High in Chalmette, LA in 1969 her entrepreneurial spirit led her to starting two successful restaurants and a child care center where she’d often have customers chatting and laughing with her for hours. Her intuitive nature gave her a genuine desire to know people’s hearts and minds, and her sharp wit and deep sensitivity resonated with everyone. Nisey’s vivacious and beautiful soul will be missed forever.
Nisey is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Wilfred Raymond Perrot. She was the loving mother of Dory Megan Perrot. Nisey was the sister of Robyn Morvant LeBlanc (Andre). She was the niece of Shirley Mellor Trosclair. Nisey was the aunt of Andrea LeBlanc Dewenter (Michael) and Robert LeBlanc (Melody), and great-aunt to Brennan and Elise LeBlanc, and Evariste and Savinien Dewenter. She was the sister-in-law of Susan Jester (Larry) and Louis Perrot (Cathy), and aunt to Matthew and Nicholas Jester, and Caitlin and Joey Perrot. Nisey will be deeply missed by her best friend, Cherie Ourso (Barry), and godchild Olivia Ourso. She was dear friends with her caretakers Toni Rabalais, Karla Powell, Dr. David Tran and the entire staff of Lakeview Regional Medical Center.
