Denise Villere Centola's Obituary
Denise Villere Centola, “Denny”, died on All Saints Day, November 1 at home in Covington surrounded by her family and friends.
She was 56, born March 8, 1950, and had pancreatic cancer. She leaves he husband of 35 years, Lawrence J. Centola, Jr., her son, Lawrence J. Centola, of New Orleans, daughters, Denise Marie Villere of Covington and Deborah Frances Centola of New Orleans, and her daughter-in-law, Amy Henry Centola. Denny is survived by her parents, Edward and Denise Villere of Covington, brothers Edward and Keith of Covington, Donald of Mandeville and Ronald of Woodlands, Texas. She is also survived by 16 sisters and brothers-in-laws and 23 nieces and nephews.
A graduate of Saint Scholastica Academy, Denny received her BA in Fine Arts from LSU. She was an artist and muralist, and the Divine Designer for the Divine Protectors of Endangered Pleasures.
Services were private with arrangements handled by E.J. Fielding Funeral Home. Donations preferred to St. Tammany Art Association, the Lance Armstrong Foundation, and St. Scholastica Academy.
