Delos Thompson, Sr.'s Obituary
Delos Arthur Thompson, Sr. passed away on Monday, August 8, 2016 at the age of 91.
Beloved husband of the late Mary Lou Mathies Thompson. Loving father of Delos, Jr. (Yundrela), Michael Henry (Brenda), Julian Mark and the late Dennis Allen Thompson. Son of the late Martha Willie Thompson and James Arthur Thompson. Brother of Lynn Thompson Crutchfield and the late James H. and Donice E. Thompson. Also survived by ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Thompson was a native and lifelong resident of Folsom where he was a member of Bogue Falaya Baptist Church, a lifelong dairy farmer, and a school bus driver for 28 years for the St. Tammany Parish School Board. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved sports and umpired for the Covington Recreation Department for many years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Bogue Falaya Baptist Church, 78689 Hwy 25, Folsom, LA 70437 on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 11:00 AM with visitation at church on Thursday evening beginning at 5:30 PM until 9:00 PM and on Friday morning at church from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
Interment will follow in Allison Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Thompson to be made to Bogue Falaya Baptist Church Building Fund.
