Delos Jenkins,'s Obituary
Delos Jackson Jenkins, Jr. passed away on September 13, 2013. A life long resident of Covington, he was born November 4, 1940 in New Orleans, LA to Delos J. "J.D." Jenkins, Sr. and Hattie Pearl Allen Jenkins.
For 55 years he was the beloved husband of Betty Burnette Jenkins. He is survived by two sons, Delos J. Jenkins III and Walter Ray Jenkins, Sr.; two sisters, Hattie M. Gines and Gloria Jenkins; one brother, Willie H. Jenkins; eight grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Junior had the best and most loyal friends in Steve Cadis and Steve Hammond. The family thanks them for always being there when he called.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sons: Randy Allen Jenkins, Joseph E. Jenkins, Gary W. Jenkins and one brother, Hollis "Pete" Jenkins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours will begin Tuesday at 10:00 AM.
Interment at the Willie Cemetery will immediately follow services.
