David Stanworth's Obituary
David Stanworth passed away on Monday, January 15, 2007. He was born February 2, 1942 in Billingham, England to the late Jonas and Emma Jefferies Stanworth and has been a resident of Mandeville for the past 26 years.
As an ironworker Superintendent in commercial construction, his work took him all over the globe and offered him the opportunity to be a part of constructing many major building efforts in the City of New Orleans over that period. He was called coach to many young soccer players in the 80’s, loved fishing the lake, his dog Duchess and is now at the right hand of Buddy-D interceding for his New Orleans Saints.
He is survived by his beloved wife Shirley Sedgewick Stanworth; one son, Paul Stanworth (Amy); one daughter, Kelly S. Arms (Craig); four grandchildren, Alexis, Keegan, Baylor and Delaney; one sister, Barbara S. Clark (Chris); two brothers, Albert (Dolly) and Brian Stanworth; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to visit the family from 9:30 AM until 12:00 Noon on Saturday, January 20, 2007 from E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433. A short Memorial Service will follow.
