David Paul Sirera's Obituary
David Paul Sirera, of Mandeville, Louisiana, passed away on April 25, 2026.
He is survived by his daughter, Lindsey Michelle Sirera, his sister, Julie Lynn Sirera, and his many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Lynrose Schroth Sirera and Walter B. Sirera, III, and his daughter, Linda Rose Sirera.
David was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on August 4, 1959. His family moved to Mandeville, Louisiana in 1968. He attended Our Lady of the Lake School, St. Paul’s School and graduated from Mandeville High School in 1977. David was a pitcher on the very first Mandeville High baseball team during his senior year. He received undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Mississippi. While at Ole Miss, he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. After graduating from law school in 1984, David returned home to his beloved Mandeville, where he began a long career in the practice of law. He enjoyed camping, walking on the lakefront and spending time with family and friends.
David was blessed with, as he would say, “most excellent” friends. Profound gratitude is extended to John Bowers, Jeff Place, Jesse Wimberly, Brian Rhinehart and Paul Hesse for their loyalty, devotion and many acts of kindness. Many who knew David have expressed how fond they were of him, how kind he was and how he made them laugh. He will be deeply missed. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington, Louisiana, has been entrusted with the arrangements. Please sign the online guestbook at https://www.ejfieldingfh.com.
