We spent so much time with David, watching he and Andrew after school and during the summer when Chandra was working. There were endless games of Monopoly, Checkers, Tripoly, Cards, just to name a few and of course, David beat me at all of them. I always wanted him to eat more because he was so thin. I would make his sandwiches in secret, so we called them his "SPECIALITY" sandwiches. I'd throw everything but the kitchen sink on them, but he loved them and ate every bit. I'll never forget the hours I had to stand at my front door while David tried to get the hang of skateboarding...he'd go about a foot and fall off. Each time he fell, he'd say, "Wait Ma-Maw, I'm gonna do it this time" (I think he finally got it about four years later). David was our first grandchild and we couldn't wait to spoil him . We bought a VHS video camera and took hours of videos of him holding a hose, running in the yard, etc. He was our little star. As he got older, naturally we saw less of him, but we still played games, at every family event. David was sweet and funny and we loved him dearly. To say we'll miss him, is such an understatement. We'll cherish all our memories and hold them in our hearts.
May God bless our daughter, Chandra, her husband, Rocky and his brother, Andrew and may He bring them peace and comfort to help them deal with such a devastating loss.
