Dear Captain Dave,
I had the pleasure as a boy and young man to be a part of your family, and I am a better man for that. I have learned from you the value of patience and friendship, and the ability to tell a good hunting or fishing story. You raised a great family with Virginia, someone I always liked to tease, but have such respect for. It was your time to be called to heaven, maybe by David, and the both of you will continue to care for those who think so much of you. You will be missed, but never foregotten.
A snow and ice storm in DC has prevented me from attending your service, but my paryers will be for Paul, Ginger, & Virginia, and all of those who so respected you and your family.

Dear Dad, I love you so much!!! No one could have ever asked for a better more loving and kind father. You taught us all to be strong and to respect others. You taught us the importance of life and love and giving. There was never a selfish bone in your body. I know you and David are having a grand time alternating between sitting in the duck blind or on that fishing boat you always dreamed of and catching the 'BIG ONE'. We all miss you so much, my heart aches for you. Don't worry about Mom, we will all take care of her for you. When it is time for her to come to you make sure she learns to hunt a little and not worry anymore. She misses you so much.
