My name is Pamellia A Smith (Lynd). David was my cousin. We grew up in the same town. Because of our age difference, we were not close friends. I remember him as part of my uncle's family that I loved dearly. Over the years I have heard news of David and his family and always remembered him fondly. I am saddened to hear of his passing and send my love and concern to those he left. May the angels welcome David to paradise. May the martyrs greet him on his way. May he see the face of the Lord this day. Alleluia. May David and all the faithful, by the mercy of God, rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon them.
David was a wonderful neighbor. He was very kind and compassionate. I would always see him walking Jake for many years past and he would ask me about my greyhounds. He was very supportive last year when my husband, Jack passed away unexpectedly. My heart goes out to his wife, Valerie and his family. Sincerely, Joyce Shugg
David was a dedicated family man, a good Christian and a great friend. We had some memorable times at Spring Branch Hunting Club. I will always treasure the time spent afield with him and my son.
