David Lloyd Braselman's Obituary
David Lloyd Braselman passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023. He was born in New Orleans, LA on November 27, 1955.
He is survived by his children, Raymond Braselman, Ethan Riana Braselman (Derek) and Matthew Braselman (Gabrielle Terranova). He is also survived by his siblings, Darren Estopinal (Rebecca) and Cathy Sams (Martin) ; his girlfriend, Joyce Saladino Spera and nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Lynn Braselman; his parents Mary Margaret Hinrichs and Raymond Edward Braselman; and siblings, Douglas Braselman; and cousin, Warren Braselman.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
David was a native of New Orleans and graduated from East Jefferson High School, UNO and received his Masters from the University of Loyola. He taught at Gretna Junior High, Destrehan High, Hannan High then at Covington High. He worked at the Windsor Senior Living Facility as the Director of Transportation. He was the lead singer for the band Sacrifice. He dedicated his time to his parish, St. Jane de Chantal in Abita Springs and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Braselman may be made to Knights of Columbus Council 12529.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church, 72040 Maple Street, Abita Springs, LA 70420 on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 12:00 noon. There will be a wake at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington LA on Tuesday evening, October 24, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and then at church on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until Mass time. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery.
