Darlene Gautreaux Rabalais' Obituary
Darlene Gautreaux Rabalais, age 76, of Covington, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025. She was born on December 2, 1948, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
She is survived by her son, Ronald Rabalais, Jr. (Britta); granddaughter, Adele Lynn Rabalais; siblings, Beatrice Dantagnan and Kathleen Barry and many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Ronald Rabalais, Sr.; her parents, Edwin Joseph Gautreaux and Geraldine Mae Cripple Gautreaux; and siblings, Edwin Joseph Gautreaux Jr.
Darlene attended Warren Easton High School in New Orleans. She went on to become a legal secretary for numerous law firms before retiring in 2004.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests Masses offered in her name at the church of your choosing.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Mandeville Cemetery, 1695 Montgomery Street, Mandeville, Louisiana.
