My favorite memory of Mowmow Darlene is of the first time that she took me to the Smoky Mountains. It was there that she introduced me to what later would become my favorite place in the whole wide world. Without her, I may have never been able to walk through clouds with my dad, hike a 4 mile trail to Abrams Falls, see my first black bear that would become my favorite animal, and swim in what I know to be the coldest water in the United States, even in the summer. So grateful and blessed that we could bond on those things. She truly was the best Mowmow kid could have.
