Dan was a colleague of my father, Professor George W. Webb. Dan and Jane were also my Godparents, and the most faithful Godparents I could have had. They never failed to send a card for my birthday, and even after Jane passed away, Dan sent me a card every year until this year. They were good people, and good friends to our family. We miss them, and we are very sorry for the Vliet family's loss.

What a void there is right now in the halls of Christwood without Dan. His familiar strolls
delivering menus and greetings along with his cheery smile are no more. He never failed to have some complimentary remark to tell you, even if it was a second or third time I had seen him that day. He made you feel special, when it was Dan who was the "special one". Always remembered Birthdays and Anniversaries of residents, leaving that personal little note. I feel so fortunate to have had a close relationship with Dan. He will be fondly remembered by all of us at Christwood. Now he is with his beloved Jane. Nancy Evans
