To the Lyons family: The members of Greater New Orleans Executives Association would like to extend our deepest sympathy in this time of sorrow. Danny was always spoken of with great fondness and appreciation for what directions he guided GNOEA in. Please know that he will be in our thoughts and prayers.
We are sorry that we are out of state or we would have been at Danny's services. He was a wonderful example to many GNOEA members. I still remember when he announced his retirement as GNOEA's Executive Director after many years at the helm. He referred to the time that he was asked to become Executive Director. He said that he had asked for time to think it over.
He said "I have thought it over, and the answer is no."
Danny was special and we will always hold him in our hearts.

I have nothing but fond memories of your father from the years at the Day at the Races. You and he had such a loving relationship and it showed.

To the Lyons family: Danny and my father were in business together. After the war, they formed the Pendleton-Lyons Moving and Storage Co. As a teen I worked at the office and warehouse and was the enfants terribles of my family and the company. Example: Danny sent me out one day to get a rolll of stamps and I came back with a sheet stuck together. Everytime I saw him in later life he reminded me of my antics. I later wrote a one act comedy play about my working there one summer called Skullduggery. Danny will always be a shining light in my early life and I will never forget him. He was always humerous, kind, loving. I know he was a very close friend of my father who was a CPA and had attended Loyola and I associate Danny with that school. I remain in loving memory of Danny and prayers for him and his family, Neal Pendleton, Jr. Architect
Recall Danny with fondness. Enjoyed many close handball matches at N.O. Athletic Club where he won most of the matches. My condoloance for all his family.
Dear Finan Family:
When Lauren called to tell me the news that her Grandfather passed away, my heart sank and melted. I am so sorry that your family is going through a very sad time right now with the passing of Mr. Lyons. I had the honor to meet him one time and he was a beautiful person.
May you feel God's loving presence as He helps and comforts you with understanding. May He give you strength today, tomorrow and always.
