Daniel S. "Danny" Boudreaux Jr.'s Obituary
Daniel S. “Danny” Boudreaux, Jr., age 77, of Covington, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 after a struggle with heart disease. He was born on December 11, 1947, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Daniel S. Boudreaux, Sr. and Elda Lombardo Boudreaux.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Beryl Ann Gremillion Boudreaux; children, Rebekka “Bekki” Bonnaffee (Bart) and Greg Boudreaux (Sherie); grandchildren, Karley Hanzo Hickman (Rhett), Benjamin Victor Bonnaffee, Avery Irene Boudreaux, and Sophia Rosemary Bonnaffee and greatgrandchildren, Rhett Christian Hickman and Ellery Claire Hickman. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
After dating for 6 years, Danny married the love of his life in 1969. They lived in Chalmette until Hurricane Katrina, after which they relocated to Covington. Danny was a member of the St. Bernard community for most of his life where he was especially proud of his time as a coach for many of the all-star and recreational teams there. He was an avid bowler and softball player in his younger years. He enjoyed the company of his friends. He worked at the Chalmette Refinery for 36 years as an Instrument Man/Electrician. He loved to watch his grandchildren participate in their various athletic events. His family was his pride and joy and never departed from them without saying “I love you, big.” Praying the Rosary everyday brought him peace.
