Debbie, I don't even know what to say! We are so sorry to hear about Dan! I wished we could of been there. Dan was a good friend who never failed to smile. He got me my first Real road bike and taught me to ride. Til this day I still Ride and think of Dan and his recumbent with his dog. I will certainly miss him on future rides. My condolences go out to his whole family.Ray Ronquillo
I have known Dan since elementary school. Our parents were friends and our families were connected in so many ways. We moved to New Jersey in 1970 and like many people the families drifted apart. Miles do that to people. I was so happy to find Dan again a couple of years ago on Facebook. And we were able to get our parents reconnected. I am so thankful that I was able to find my friend again. And so saddened to hear of his passing. This picture has been in my jewelry box since 1966. And on the back in a 12 year old girls handwriting....I like Danny Standley. He was always a good friend. My deepest condolences to his wife Debbie and his family.
What a sad day when fellow classmates heard about Danny. I only knew him in school but always thought the world of him. Prayers are with the family at this time of sorrow. He will be miss!
Stan The Man, we will miss you. Our prayers and best wishes go out to all his family and all who mourn his loss. I personally will never forget the evening when his wife Deborah came by the Superior Tire Store and I just happen to be there. She needed to go across the causeway but was turned down due to a head light not working. We repaired the light and she was so grateful saying they would be customers from this day forward. I was so saddened to hear of Dan's death. My deepest sympathy goes out to his wife and daughter, Caroline, as well as his family in Houston. It is such a huge loss...
