Cyril Lloyd Cleland's Obituary
Cyril Lloyd Cleland, born June 25, 1926 and passed away at home on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the age of 91.
Mr. Cleland was a native of Waldheim, LA and was a resident of Folsom for the past 22 years. Cyril is a retired United States Air Force Tech Sgt, having served 20 years. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church of Folsom and served vigorously in the church and in the choir. He was also a volunteer with the St. Tammany Parish Hospital Guild.
Cyril was preceded in death by his first wife, Alida M. Pansy Cleland and his parents, Christina Dutsch Cleland and William Henry Cleland. Father of Linda L. Kramm (Chuck), Elizabeth Faye Cleland and Douglas W. Cleland (Regina). Brother of the late Christine E. Cleland, Carl C. Cleland, Sr., Howard Cleland, Florence I. Cleland and Annie F. Charles.
Cyril is the beloved husband of 22 years to Yvonne Graham Cleland. Also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Step-father of Sandra Hingle, Marilyn Madere (Charles), Darryl Graham (Gina), Jan Stewart (Johnny) and Norman Graham (Vicky). Also survived by 14 step-grandchildren and 15 step-great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at First Baptist Church of Folsom, 13320 Broadway St., Folsom, LA 70437 on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 1:00 PM with visitation at church on Tuesday beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Cleland Cemetery on Cleland Road in Waldheim, LA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Cleland to be made to First Baptist Church of Folsom or the St. Tammany Parish Hospital Guild.
