C.S. "Sonny" Walle's Obituary
C. S. “Sonny” Walle, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2008.
He was born March 11, 1930 in New Orleans to the late Irma Terry and Cornelius S. Walle, Sr. and has been a resident of Covington since 1979.
The beloved husband of the late Hazel Davis Walle, he is survived by six children: William “Bubba” Wilson, Carol W. Miller, Wanda R. Causin, Jerry Davis, Cindy M. Vice, Randy E. Vice; 9 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. He is the brother of Elizabeth Giambronne, Yvonne Cancienne and the late Barbara Mason.
From 1954-1991, Sonny was a Bus Operator for New Orleans Public Service, now RTA. Prior to his career with NOPSI, he served in the Navy as a seaman in the 1st Division aboard the Destroyer USS Turner. He was also a football coach at Delta Gym in Metairie during the 1970's.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours will begin Saturday at 9:00 AM.
Interment will follow services at Metairie Cemetery.
