Cornelius Marion Cousins' Obituary
Connie Cousins died peacefully in his home on January 16, 2025, at the age of 86.
He is survived by his siblings William, Kathleen, Lleana, Francis, Bernard and Maria; his children Debora, Joseph, Patricia, Gavin, Thomas, and Glen. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Peter and Antonina; his siblings Milton, Theresa, Martin, Eugene, Donald, and Wayne; and his children Connie Jr, Tim, Brenda, and Jack.
Connie was very active in and well known in his community during his 48 years as a hairdresser and business owner in Covington and Mandeville. He was a patron of the arts, an accomplished pianist, a professional dancer, and an excellent cook (his bbq shrimp especially). He traveled at every opportunity, leaving his footprints on 6 continents and his stories in countless ports of call.
He was a man, take him for all in all, we shall not look upon his like again.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington LA 70433 on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM with visitation on Sunday beginning at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
