Corbett Adams Swan's Obituary
Corbett Adams Swan passed away suddenly on June 28th, 2023, at the age of 61. Corby was born in New Orleans on August 14, 1961, grew up in Metairie, and has lived in Mandeville for the last 27 years. He was the son of Barbara Adams Swan and the late Arthur John Swan. Corby is survived by his wife, Jennifer, his four children: Zachary Arthur (Chelsea), Kennon York, Emma Claire, and Brody Patrick, and his grandson: Luke Corbett.
Corby was greatly loved and very involved in the community. He began his career in New Orleans working for Rollins, then for Westec, and through his successes in business, he ultimately began his own company Alpha Home Systems, which he continually maintained as owner/operator until his untimely death.
Corby was a family man in every sense of the word. He adored his wife, children, and grandchild, and he loved sharing his family’s successes with his friends, companions, and even strangers. Some of the things he enjoyed the most were cheering his LSU Tigers to victory, and always went above and beyond by making wonderful meals for company. Corby revered his church and spent many years serving as an usher for Sunday service and as a cook in the kitchen for a variety of events (Wednesday Night Dinner, Men’s Conference, to name a few). He always had pets, specifically rat terriers, and loved being outside in his yard tending to his garden and watching the hummingbirds.
In lieu of flowers please consider memorial contributions in memory of Corby Swan to St. Timothy’s Methodist Church.
