Cora Pearl Hankins' Obituary
Cora Pearl Parker Jackson Hankins passed away on Friday, October 15, 2010. She was born January 30, 1922 in Talisheek, LA to the late George Oliver and Mary Ann Jenkins Parker and was a life long resident of St. Tammany Parish.
The beloved wife of the late Leo Frank Jackson, Sr. and Lawson A. Hankins, II, she is survived by five children: Pearl Patricia Ann Jones, Leo Frank Jackson, Jr., Marie Antoinette Abelt, Prima Hankins Normand and Lawson A. Hankins, III; one sister, Vera P. Shoemaker and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 17 siblings: George F. and Oliver M. Parker, Ruby Jarrell, Ophelia Quave, William Parker, Mary Zito, Annie Grantham, Katie Marangie, Cassie, Delos, Louis and Dudley Parker, Lola Brown, Nellie Cox, Hazel Bradley, Josephine and Homer Parker. She is also survived by countless nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at Garden of the Pines Cemetery, N. Columbia St. in Covington, LA on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 3:00 PM.
