Cora "Dee Dee" Loyd Thompson's Obituary
Cora “Dee Dee” Isabelle Loyd Thompson passed away on Friday, February 13, 2009. She was born December 24, 1919 to the late Jackson Andrew and Effie Core Loyd and has been a life resident of Folsom, LA.
The beloved wife of the late Alvin Warren Thompson, she is survived by two sons, Billy Loyd Thompson, his wife Dianne and Alvin “Gene” Thompson, his wife Dorothy; seven grandchildren: Kristi T. Moore, Steven, Paula, Sherri, Warren and Brian Thompson, Marla T. Poirots; 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six brothers: Kelton, Gordon, Howard, Jim and Dixon Loyd, Burton Core and two sisters, Ruby L. Magee and Ruth L. Morgan
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Monday, February 16, 2009 at 11:00 AM from Bogue Falaya Baptist Church, 14278 Highway 1077, Folsom, LA 70437.
A wake is scheduled for Sunday, February 15, 2009 from 6-9:00 PM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours will begin at the Church Monday at 9:00 AM.
Interment will follow services at the Bogue Falaya Church Cemetery.

Bogue Falaya Baptist Church.
