Conneen Clark Powell's Obituary
Conneen Powell passed away on August 9,2021. She was born April 20, 1967 to Terri and Steve Clark in Provo, Utah. She was the second of ten children. Conneen was married to her best friend, Kevin Powell, for 33 years, and together they had three children: McKenzie K Fairclough (Bradyn), Alexis K Powell (Tyler), and Sydney K Powell.
Being a mother was Conneen’s greatest pride and joy. There was not a day that went by that she did not express and show her love to her girls. She also leaves behind two grandchildren, Gracyn and Clark Fairclough. Conneen will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, and service to her family, friends, and all who knew her. She was the hardest of workers and incredibly gifted. She worked as a talented and devoted child psychologist in the school district for many years and found great joy in helping and working with children. Conneen rarely kept still, spending time serving in church, supporting and cheering on her children in various activities, and gardening. Conneen was diagnosed with early onset Lewy Body Dementia, but she handled it with grace and faith. Despite the many challenges it brought, she made the most of her life and concentrated on being the very best wife, mom, and grandma (Nee-Nee) she could be.
Due to COVID-19, a private service will be held at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA. Interment will follow the service in Foxworth Cemetery, Foxworth, MS. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lewy Body Dementia Association (https://www.lbda.org/donate) would be appreciated. Please Share a Memory on the Tribute Wall at www.ejfieldingfh.com.
