Collen Barnes Lozano's Obituary
Colleen Barnes Lozano, 92, passed away on August 24, 2018 at her home in Mandeville, LA with her loving family by her side. She was born on August 9, 1926 in Muskogee, OK.
Colleen is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Kenneth Lozano, Sr.; her parents, Major Benjamin Franklin Barnes and Maurine Grove Barnes; and her sisters Marcella Illing, Kate Patterson, and Bonnie Pruitt.
Colleen was a loving mother to her three children, Edward Kenneth Lozano, Jr. (Mary Ellen), Darlene Gurievsky (Barry), and Benjamin Lozano (the late Jill). She adored and was proud of her 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Colleen is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own.
Her strong will, determination, and love of life remained until the very end. The family is deeply thankful to hospice and her caregivers.
Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating her life at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 9:00 AM until Mass time.
