Clifton Graybill Cooper's Obituary
Clifton Graybill Cooper, age 67, of Covington, Louisiana, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 17, 2025. He was born on September 2, 1957, in Roanoke, Virginia.
He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Helen Moore “Muffet” Cooper; children, Bethany Mader (Corben), Samantha Beavers (Corey), and Alex Cooper (Heather); step-children, Marvin Heebe (Ellen) and Clark Heebe (Jill); grandchildren, Colton Cooper, Evander Cooper, Leeland Beavers, Riley Beavers, Maverick Beavers, Oliver Beavers, Amy Mader, Carter Mader, Haley Crasto (William), Jack Heebe, Helen Heebe, Beck Heebe, Davis Heebe, Libby Heebe, and one grandchild on the way; and great-grandson, Dyar Crasto. He is also survived by his siblings, Tony Cooper (Diane) and Chris Cooper (Barbara); niece, Rachel Cooper (Jonathan Duffy); cousins, Caroline Cecil and Lois Russell (Dave); uncle, Paul Graybill (Rose); and many other extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Lawrence Cooper and Marian Lucille Graybill Cooper.
Cliff lived briefly in Birmingham, Alabama, and Atlanta, Georgia, before growing up primarily in Harahan, Louisiana, and attending East Jefferson High School. He later lived in Indiana and completed an associate’s degree in theology from Boyce Bible College at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, before ultimately relocating to Covington, Louisiana, where he met and married Helen “Muffet” Cooper. He pastored multiple churches throughout Louisiana, Kentucky, and Indiana during his career. He was an active member of Bogue Falaya Baptist Church and more recently attended Live Oak Missionary Baptist Church. He had also preached at Creekside Baptist Church in Loranger in recent years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and he will be dearly missed by his family and community.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Live Oak Missionary Baptist Church, 78273 Highway 1077, Folsom, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Private interment will follow in Bogue Falaya Baptist Church Cemetery, and a celebration of life reception will follow the interment at the Cooper Family Home.
