Claudia Besson Seale's Obituary
Claudia Besson Seale, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend, passed away on December 14, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on February 8, 1961, to Claude Joseph Besson and Mary Swain Besson, Claudia lived a life defined by resilience, devotion, and love.
Claudia was first and foremost a mother, a role she cherished above all else. Ambitious and determined, she pursued her dreams with passion. She began her career as a store manager at Sally’s Beauty Supply and later rose to manage Ballin’s, a prestigious clothing boutique at the New Orleans Centre. Her career path shifted when she discovered her true calling in the medical field, serving as an Anesthesia Technician at Ochsner Medical Center. In this role, she touched countless lives with her compassion and ability to connect deeply with patients.
Her strength was most profoundly revealed after Hurricane Katrina, when a routine surgery changed her life forever. Despite losing her legs, Claudia never allowed her disability to define her. She fought courageously against all odds, embodying perseverance and faith. In the years that followed, she grew closer to the Lord and her family, finding peace and purpose in her faith and in the love, she gave to those around her. Claudia was a devoted Catholic whose trust in God guided her through every trial.
She will be remembered as a loving wife to her husband, Delton Seale, a proud mother and co-parent with Nicholas M. Musmeci to her sons Joshua Musmeci and Matthew Musmeci, Michelle, and a doting grandmother to Mason, Blake, Audrey, Liana, Cash, Vayèn, and Va’era Musmeci. Claudia is also survived by her siblings Michael Besson, Fran, Susan Besson Brewer, Kenny, Michelle Besson Wheeler, in laws Delton R Seale and Bobby Joy Seale and stepmother Colleen Brewer Besson and a host of nieces and nephews. Her tender heart, fierce devotion to her family, and unwavering spirit will live on in all who knew her.
Claudia loved animals, especially dogs, and found joy in the simple blessings of life. She was a fighter through every challenge, a defender of her family, and a source of inspiration to all who witnessed her journey.
