Claudette Cordilla Bethea's Obituary
Claudette Cordilla Bethea, age 78, was called to her heavenly home on Monday, February 29, 2016 after a short battle with cancer. She was born, February 23, 1938 to the late Clyde and Louvella Cordilla.
She was the beloved wife of William C. Bethea, Sr. with whom she was lovingly married to for 56 years. She was the devoted mother of 5 children, Bill Bethea, Jr. and Partner, Ronny Daley; Lorie Bethea Dalton and husband, Howard; Michael Bethea and wife, Lesley; Claude Bethea and wife, Wendy; and James Bethea and wife, Erin. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, Lauren Olivero and husband Chris, Paige Bethea, Cooper Bethea, Sister Trône du Roi (aka Brooke Bethea), Nathan Bethea, Avery Bethea, Kamryn (Mimi) Bethea, Will Bethea, Isabella Llewellyn and Owen Llewellyn; 2 great-grandchildren, Brayden Olivero and Parker Olivero.
Claudette is survived by her only sister, Marlene Cordilla Mitchell and husband, Lionel and numerous nieces and nephews.
Claudette was strongly devoted to her traditional Catholic faith, husband and family. She enjoyed painting and homemaking. She will be missed by her 2 dog children, Nilla and Minuet.
The entire Bethea family would like to thank Kim Larosa and Erica Miller for their caring services to Claudette during her illness. We also thank all friends and family who prayed and stood by us during this difficult time.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Mary, Queen of Peace, 1501 W Causeway Approach, Mandeville, LA 70471 on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 12:00 Noon with visitation on Saturday beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Covington, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Lacombe, Post Office Box 414, Madisonville, LA 70447.
