Claude Joseph “Mook” Labasse, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at his residence in Covington, LA. He was the son of the late Louis Labasse and Angeline Recurt. He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Covington, LA.
Beloved husband of Betty Haro. Devoted father of Burt Labasse (Lisa), Jill Micelle (Dennis), Claude “Kip” Labasse, Jr., Nancy Cavalier (Gene), and Erin Schubert (Victor). Loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 3 step-great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433, at 2:00 PM with Visitation from 1:00 PM until service time. Interment will follow the Mass at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Covington, LA. In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred. Please sign the online Guest Book.
