Clare Marie "Sue" Delery's Obituary
Clare Marie Delery, affectionately known to her family as 'Sue', entered her Eternal Rest with Our Lord on Saturday, May 2, 2020. Sue was born on August 5, 1951, to her loving parents, Clare F. Delery and Edward J. Delery, Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents and her eldest brother, Michael F. Delery. Sue is survived by her sister, Kathleen D. Baxter, her brothers, James G. Delery, and Edward J. Delery Jr., as well as sisters-in-law Sheryl B. Delery and Amy K. Delery, and several neices and nephews. Sue would have wanted a 'Special Thanks' to her cousin, Denise F. Donner, who always visited and sang to her.
Sue was very special to her family, relatives, and caregivers.
A Catholic graveside service was held on Thursday, May 21, 2020, at Lake Lawn Metairie Cemetery. A Catholic Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
Sue's family wishes to express their kindest love and appreciation to the caregivers at North Lake Supports and Services Centers (formerly known as Hammond State School for the Mentally Retarded) and Evergreen Life Services in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
