Claire Bernice Giro Martin passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Martin, loving mother of June Callais, Barbara Lasavia (Jake), and Anacleta Louviere (Larry). Grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Julie Vignes Giro and Louis Michael Giro.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday, Oct 1, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, West Metairie Ave., Metairie, and Thursday Oct 1, 2009 a gathering at church from 10:00 AM until Mass time. E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington, LA 70433 is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to a cancer society.
