Christine Patricia Davis' Obituary
Christine Patricia Davis lost her long battle with cancer on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at the age of 55. She was born in Davenport, IA on December 26, 1966 to George Thomas Haney and Ellen Carstens Haney.
Christine is survived by her beloved husband, Brandon M. Davis and her father, George Haney; siblings, Dan (Beth) Haney, of Davenport IA, Mary (Gregory) Schermer, of Davenport, IA, Andrea (Teague) Lovell, of Mountain View, CA; nieces, Marybeth (J.D.) Marable of Iwakuni, Japan, Emma (Mike) of Dahl, Davenport, IA and Arielle Haney, of Milan, PA; and nephews, Matthew Haney, of Davenport, IA and Solomon, Asher, and Elijah Lovell, of Mountain View, CA. She is also survived by her mother and father-in-law, Mike and Mary Davis; brother and sisters-in-law, Aaron and Nelie Davis and Kingsley and Adrian Reister; her nephews and nieces, Joshua Davis, Jakob Davis, Timmy and Chelli Wicks, Jimmy and Rachel Wicks and Johnny Wicks.
Christine was preceded in death by her mother, Ellen Carstens Haney.
Christine was a loving and dedicated wife to Brandon. They loved to go hiking and camping together and spend time with their sweet little dogs Max and Molly. She had a deep love for the Lord and served Him faithfully every minute of the day. She was a member of Northshore Bible Church for 15 years and was active in teaching Children’s Bible Studies and a member of the church band. Her true passion in life was teaching children music. She touched the lives of her students and in-turn they touched her life. Christine was also a band member of The Castaways and a founding member of Vinyl Highway. She received a degree in Associate’s of Applied Science from Rock Valley College, was an ASE Certified Automobile Technician, and worked as a Honda mechanic in Boston, Metairie and Slidell Louisiana. She was employed for 10 years with UPS as a driver and package handler. Christine served in the United States Army and completed Noncommissioned Officers Training, was awarded the Air Assault and Parachute Badges, and received numerous awards for outstanding service to our country. Christine will be dearly missed by her loving husband Brandon and her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Northshore Bible Church, 19516 Sunshine Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday March 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2280 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433.
