Christine Marie "Kiki" Decareaux Casale's Obituary
Christine Marie Decareaux Casale “Kiki,” age 75, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous journey. She was born on June 30, 1950, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Covington, where she built a life centered on faith, family, and joy.
Chris was the beloved wife of Robert Casale Jr. for 54 years, and a devoted mother to her daughters, Jamie (Troy) Webster and Angela (Chris) Black. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Ayla, Jayden, Grayson, Madison, Landry, Emma, Calyee, Adeline, and Amelia, who brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her siblings, Ted and David Decareaux.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Larry J. Decareaux and Margaret Eleanora Bohne Decareaux.
Chris was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother whose life revolved around her family. She was known for her strong beliefs and never hesitated to stand firm in what she felt was right. She loved to have a good time and will be remembered for the warmth and light she brought into every room. She cherished her time attending weekly Bible study and playing pokeno and bunko with her dear friends.
A woman of remarkable strength and resilience, Chris began her courageous battle with cancer in 1999 and later faced congestive heart failure with unwavering faith and determination. Through it all, she remained deeply committed to her family, living her life with grace and purpose while giving her loved ones many more cherished years and a lifetime of memories.
As a military wife for 47 years, Chris dedicated herself to supporting her husband and building a strong, loving home wherever life took them. She also worked as a library assistant, where she shared her love of reading, often delighting children and co-workers by dressing up as their favorite book characters. She loved music, laughter, and bringing happiness to those around her.
More than anything, Chris created a home filled with love. She never missed a dance recital, softball or basketball game, or Girl Scouts meeting. She showed up every time with encouragement, pride, and unwavering support. She was her grandchildren’s biggest cheerleader and one of the strongest fighters you could ever know.
Her faith was the foundation of her life. She loved Jesus deeply and lived as a faithful servant, guided by compassion, conviction, and a genuine care for others.
Christine will be remembered for her infectious laughter, her loyalty as a friend, her deep love for her family, and the joy she brought into so many lives.
“She will be deeply missed and forever loved.”
