Christian Albert Garbett, Jr., (March 12, 2004 - December 19, 2025) left us far too soon, leaving behind a profound emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him. Christian was a 2022 graduate of Mandeville High School and an upcoming Senior at Southeastern Louisiana University. He was majoring in Criminal Justice and was hoping to pursue his masters in Forensics or follow his dad’s legacy with a career in Law. Christian was a beloved grandson, son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was known for his kind heart, warm smile and the way his presence could bring comfort and laughter to those around him; one marked by love, loyalty, and a deep connection to the people who mattered most to him. Christian is survived by his loving mother Joy, who cherished him beyond measure, his younger brother Collin, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. Also survived by maternal grandparents Dannie and Iris Walker, paternal grandparents, Frank and Sandra Garbutt. Aunts, Shannon Parker (Lavell), Darlene Brecher (Ronald), Jan Hickman (Ronnie), Laurie Watt (Jeremy), Uncle Mark Garbutt (Cheramie), numerous cousins, friends, and beloved family pet, Sosa. Christian is preceded in death by his father Christian Garbett, Sr.
Christian had a way of being himself without apology. His presence brought comfort, his smile brought light, and his love was steady and true. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on through the stories told, the laughs remembered, and the quiet moments when he is felt most.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at EJ Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Ave., Covington, LA beginning at 12:00 pm. with the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm officiated by Pastor Ray Varnado. Interment will follow at Walker Cemetery, Kentwood, LA.
