Chet Wynn Busby's Obituary
Chet Wynn Busby passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018 at his home in Abita Springs, LA. He was born on May 16, 1961 in Bogalusa, LA to his devoted parents Henry Chelton Busby and Jimmie Nell Strahan Busby.
Chet was married to his beloved wife, Barbara Bates Busby, for 35 years. He was the loving father of Megan B. Gouzy (Joshua) and Jamie L. Busby. He was the proud grandfather of Hudson M. Gouzy. Chet was the brother of the late Lisa B. Clement.
Chet graduated from Mandeville High School in 1979. Upon graduation, he attended Northeast Louisiana University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy. He worked as a pharmaceutical rep for Eli Lily, a Vice President of Scientific Affairs at PamLab, and a Senior Vice President of Sales at Silvergate Pharmaceutical. Chet was a proud member of St. Timothy UMC for 20 years. He loved his time riding in the Original Krewe of Orpheus. He also enjoyed home improvement, spending time with family, vacationing, and church.
Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life at St. Timothy United Methodist Church, 335 Asbury Dr, Mandeville, LA 70471 on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 11AM with Visitation from 10AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Chet to be made to St. Timothy United Methodist Church, 335 Asbury Drive, Mandeville, LA 70471.
