Cheryl Grundmeyer "Steppie" Jones' Obituary
Cheryl Grundmeyer “Steppie” Jones, age 65, of Madisonville, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 1, 2024, surrounded by her dearest loved ones. She was born on October 19, 1958, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Flora Belle Grundmeyer, and brother, Kerry Grundmeyer.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Richard Monroe Jones; son, Jay Austin Jones (Gina Fazzio Jones) and grandchildren, Dominick, Monroe, Lilu and Marcus Jones. She is also survived by her siblings, Wayne Grundmeyer (Priscilla), Jan Tanner (Todd), and Laurie Grundmeyer. She leaves behind a large loving family.
Cheryl “Steppie” Jones’ most cherished moments here on earth were spent with her husband, son, daughter-in-law, nieces and her grandchildren. There was nothing she loved more than time spent with family. The simplest things in life gave her the most joy such as crafting with the kids, playing board games, having a tea party, baking, and golf cart riding on the farm. Our world will never be the same, but her memories will live on forever.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial mass on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM.
