Cheryl Lynn Hyman's Obituary
Cheryl Lynn Hyman passed into Eternal Life on Monday August 14th, 2023. She was born to her loving parents Gary and Toyomi Sallinger on August 17th, 1981 in Marrero, LA.
She is survived by her two sons Cedric Hyman and Omar Hyman Jr., who were the absolute lights of her life. She is also survived by her sister Stephanie Pasentine (Dennis), her best friend in the world. Cheryl was a devoted aunt to her niece Ashley Sallinger and nephews Christopher Whelehan, Jaden, Dennis Jr. and Cullen Pasentine. She will also be dearly missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her son Rodric Hyman and her sister Cathy Whelehan, who both forever lived in her heart.
Cheryl was married to Omar Hyman Sr. whom also entered his eternal life.
Cheryl’s smile lit up every room she walked into and her laughter was infectious. She valued her family and friends beyond measure. Affectionately known as TT by her niece and nephews as well as the many children she took under her wing. She loved spending time with her family making funny videos, dancing and singing. She was willing to lend a helping hand to anybody in need. Her unwavering faith was evident to all that love her and we are comforted in knowing she is resting with her Father in heaven.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Church of the King, 22205 Little Creek Road, Mandeville LA 70471 on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM until service time. There will be another service on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington LA at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will take place following the service at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 2280 W 21st Avenue, Covington LA.
