Charles Gerard Trapani, Sr.'s Obituary
Charles “Chuck” Gerard Trapani, Sr., died on November 11, 2008, at 66 years of age.
He was the beloved son of Mr. & Mrs. August G. Trapani, Jr.
A native of Covington, Louisiana and longtime resident of St. Tammany Parish, Chuck is survived by his son, Charles Gerard Trapani, Jr. and his wife Allison of Baldwin, Wisconsin; daughter Debbie Lane and husband Jay of Perkinston, Mississippi; daughter Beth McShan and husband Wayne of Slidell, Louisiana; and two grandchildren, Oliver and Amy Lane. He is also survived by his sisters Judy Hummel and husband Ki of Covington; Joan Ibos and husband Emile of Covington; Theresa Jolissaint and husband Mark of Mandeville; Melissa Porretto and husband Lloyd of Folsom; Angela Luksch and husband Chris of Fort Mill, South Carolina; and a brother Tim Trapani of Covington. He was preceded in death by his brother Chris Trapani. Chuck is also survived by his dear friend Dottie Smallwood of Mandeville and many nieces and nephews.
Chuck attended St. Peter School in Covington and was a 1960 graduate of Saint Paul’s School. He was a proud and honorable veteran of the United States Navy. He graduated from Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was a highly skilled aircraft mechanic for many years. Chuck enjoyed numerous hobbies and spending time with family and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at St. Peter Catholic Church 128 W. 19th Ave. Covington, LA 70433 at 11:00 AM. Visitation at the church from 9:30 AM until service time. Interment in Bogue Falaya Cemetery on Hwy. 1077 Willie Road.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to St. Tammany Parish Hospital.
