We are so sorry for your loss. I met Charles when I met Joan at Leo's house in Diamondhead. Over the past four years with our family reunions I saw Charles more often. In the last year Charles would call me about once a month to check on Joe's health. I really appreciated that concern. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear about Charles. He was a faithful member of our church choir, making every practice, singing for any special Mass, and routinely singing at two Masses every weekend. We will certainly miss him. He always had a cheerful attitude, except for once that I remember. We had both gotten to the church door at the same time for practice. I held the door for him, and he was indignant, saying that he wasn't that bad off that a lady had to hold the door for him! So I told him that it was a gift; then he was all right with it.
