Charles Arsenio Ostarly's Obituary
Charles Arsenio Ostarly, age 30, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2018 at his family home in Covington, Louisiana. Beloved son of Ruth and Thomas Ostarly Sr., treasured brother of Heather (Chris) Castille, Sarah Ostarly, Thomas (Kayla) Ostarly II, and Amber Ostarly. “Charley” was the world’s most fun uncle to James, Waylon, Breelyn, Annabelle, Thomas III and Aurora. He is also survived by his son Alexandre Charles Ostarly and his many cherished aunts and uncles.
Clearwater Pool and Spa Services is the business where Charles worked alongside his brother. When he wasn’t working he was an avid pool player at Ya Ya’s Daiquiri Depot, where his pool stick will hold an honored spot with a plaque on the wall.
Loving, kind, smart, fun-loving, and never argumentative, Charles looked you in your eye and paid full attention to what you had to say. He greeted friends with a firm handshake and a warm hug. He always wanted to do his best, and enjoyed researching and sharing his many passions. He was his mother’s rock, and soared around the house pretending to be Daddy Eagle for his nieces and nephews. Charley was a good friend to many. He will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 11th, 2018 from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM at the E.J. Fielding Funeral Home at 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, followed by a Funeral Mass at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the nonprofit Women’s Center for Healing and Transformation (www.womenscenterforhealing.org) where a special account will be established to fund addiction recovery for men and women.
