Charles “Chuck” Morton went to heaven on June 7, 2020 at the age of 81 at his home in Covington, LA after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was surrounded by his wife of 58 years, Ann Gray Bartee Morton, his son Charl Read Obituary
Miss Ann, Gray and Page, I wanted to express my condolences for your loss. Mr. Chuck was always a pleasure to be around. Whenever I was at your house, he made me feel like I was at home. I know that you already know this, but you were truly blessed to have him as a spouse and father. And, I was truly blessed to have had the opportunity to come to know him. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Chucko (aka Possum) I will miss you as will many others that knew you. Sympathy to Ann, his wife, and other family members. Chuck did an excellent job at Covington Presbyterian Church as Property Chairman spending many hours seeing that contractor and other jobs were done correctly. He especially enjoyed spending time at the Church at the Saturday work parties with the Property Brothers a group of workers caring for the Church grounds and buildings. RIP my friend and you old Possum!
I will miss my property brother Chuck (Possum) so very much. My sincerest condolences to Mrs. Ann and all of Chuck’s family. The Angels better be on their toes. I’m sure Chuck is already stirring things up and filling the heavens with laughter.
