Mary Elains called me with the sad news. It was a shock to hear of Charles's passing. He was always such an optimistic, enthusiastic person, so full of life the way it's meant to be lived. To know him was to love him. I recall when I was seven and he was thirteen I was so impressed with the drawings he did of cowboys on horseback. They were an inspiration to me as a budding artist.
I regret I didn't see you all but rarely over the yuears, but each time I did it was a warmly rewarding experience. As I told Mary Elaine, Kathleen and I won't be able to attend the funeral ceremonies, but we will be there in spirit and in our prayers. His loss yo us is heaven's gain. Glory be to God for such a man!
With sincere condolences and love, Steve and Kathleen
