All my memories of Uncle Charles have two things in common: Family & football! He loved being around his family...the more the merrier! If you could throw in a Saints game...that was just the icing on the cake! His smile was contagious and he welcomed you with open arms and warm hugs. His presence is already missed and we pray for the day where we will be reunited, out of the pain, sorrow and challenges of life, into new life. Our thoughts and prayers are with his earth-bound family now. Grant them comfort and peace through the journey ahead. Rest in Peace, Uncle Charles. You left a beautiful legacy of love and acceptance we all felt, every day, with every visit!
I did not know Charles, but I know his wonderful daughter Lori and his two great grandchildren - Evie and Gabby - precious angels sent to us to fill our hearts with joy! Please accept my condolences and my prayers that the Holy Spirit console all of you as you face this unbearable loss. I was saddened to hear of the passing of Charles. He was a very close friend of my Uncle Roy. They all grew up together on Dakin Street in New Orleans. It was always fun to see them when we came down to visit my grandmother who lived a few doors down from Charles. We were all a close group on that street. Lifelong family and friends from that time. Charles was such a lively, fun and sweet man. He always had a smile and a fun story to tell. His sister, Geraldine, was flower girl in my mother and father‘s wedding in New Orleans many years ago. I shall miss Charles but have wonderful memories of him. The last time I got to see him was at my parents 70th wedding anniversary that they celebrated in New Orleans. He looked the same as he always did. I’m glad we all got to visit and catch up. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. RIP, dear Charles. 🙏🏻❤️
So sorry to learn of Charles' passing. I remember him always laughing or making a joke and of course showing photos of his grandchildren and great grandchildren with so much pride. Chinchi, you were a loving, caring wife and I feel your pain. Please know I am available when you need a friend.
