Charles D Green's Obituary
Charles Darrel Green passed away at his home on Sunday March 30, 2014 at the age of 69. Beloved husband of Patsy Lombardo Green. Loving father of Leland Wesley Green, Leslie Troy Green (Laura), John Nicholas Green (Julie), and Amanda Green Dumas (Mike). Proud grandfather of Jennifer, Kristen, Katie, and Nicholas Green. Loving brother of Barbara Green Sims (Don). He also leaves behind his beloved pet Chester. He was preceded in death by his parents Everett Green and Jewell Elizabeth Shields Green, his grandparents James Brewster Shields and Amanda Jane Shields, his sister Ann Jean Green, brothers Lewis E. Green and Billy J. Green, Sr. He retired after 40 years of service with Kaiser Aluminum/CII Rain. He proudly served in both the U. S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. A military commitment ceremony will be held in his honor for friends and family at the new Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell, LA upon its opening during the summer of 2014.
