Charles Acree Finklea's Obituary
Charles Acree Finklea, resident of Covington, LA, passed away on January 24, 2018 at the age of 82 at home surrounded by family.
Charles is survived by his wife, Sharon Finklea; son, Michael Finklea; daughter, Kim Finklea; son, Scott Finklea (Amber); granddaughter, Averi; grandson, Braden; son, Todd Finklea (Mandy); granddaughter, Faith; his sister Lucinda Boone (Bob), and their children Becky, Heather, Kelly, and Robert.
Charles was born in Huntsville, AR on April 14, 1935 to Charles and Jessie Finklea. After graduating from the University of Northeastern in Talaquah, Oklahoma with a degree in Business, Charles and Sharon moved to the New Orleans area in 1971, where he worked as a general manager for Transamerica Life. He furthered his studies attending Tulane to become a CLU, and before retiring at 56, opening his own practice. He was an avid tennis player at Beach Club & loved playing golf at Chateau Country Club. The most important thing to him was the love for his family.
A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, January 29, 2018 at 10:00am at Saint Timothy on the Northshore United Methodist Church. 335 Asbury Dr. Mandeville, LA 70471. Associate Pastor, Mark L. Juneau will officiate.
